Supervised Fieldwork

The standard 2,000-hour pathway, with 5% of each month’s hours under supervision.

What it means

Supervised Fieldwork is the standard pathway: 2,000 hours total, with at least 5% of the hours in each supervisory period supervised. It is one of two fieldwork types; the other, Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork, requires fewer hours but more supervision.

Example

At 5%, a month with 100 fieldwork hours needs at least 5 supervised hours.

Where it trips people up

You may combine Supervised and Concentrated fieldwork, but each type’s supervision requirements (percentage, observation, contacts) must be met independently. You can’t average across the two.
