Every counted month adds to your running total, so you can watch your progress build over time — not just this month.

Only what qualifies counts

Logged activity and counted progress are shown separately, so your total reflects only the months that actually qualify.

Keep your goal in sight

Compare Standard and Concentrated progress and see exactly how many hours are left before the finish line.

Everything your progress view brings together

BCBA® fieldwork isn’t counted one entry at a time — it adds up across months, paths, and hour types. FieldworkABA pulls all of that into one clear progress view.

So you always know where you stand, and what still stands between you and the goal.

Total counted hours

See how your fieldwork history adds up toward the BCBA® certification hour goal.

Counted months

Understand exactly which months are contributing to your progress — separate from logged activity.

Standard path

Track progress toward 2,000 hours when one fieldwork hour counts as one hour.

Concentrated path

See weighted progress toward 1,500 hours — concentrated fieldwork counts at ×1.33.

Unrestricted balance

Watch your unrestricted and restricted hours so your overall mix stays on target over time.

Month-by-month history

Review completed months and see how your progress has built across your fieldwork timeline.

For trainees & supervisors

One progress view, useful to both roles

Trainees see how far they’ve come and what’s left; supervisors open the same picture to guide planning. The progress view keeps everyone working from the same numbers.

For Trainees

For Supervisors

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions, answered

What is a BCBA® total hours tracker?
It’s a view that shows how your completed fieldwork records add up toward the total hour goal for certification — total counted hours, counted months, and how far you have to go.
Does FieldworkABA track progress toward 2,000 hours?
Yes. FieldworkABA shows progress toward the BCBA® goal — 2,000 hours on the Standard path and 1,500 hours on the Concentrated path — including counted months and overall progress.
What’s the difference between logged hours and counted progress?
Logged hours are every activity you enter. Counted progress reflects only the hours and months that qualify toward your fieldwork goal, shown separately so your total stays meaningful.
How do Standard and Concentrated paths differ?
On the Standard path, one fieldwork hour counts as one hour toward 2,000. On the Concentrated path, hours are weighted at ×1.33 toward 1,500. FieldworkABA shows both so you can see which applies to you.
Can I track my unrestricted and restricted balance?
Yes. FieldworkABA tracks your unrestricted and restricted hours over time so your overall balance stays easy to understand as a long-term goal.
Does FieldworkABA guarantee certification eligibility?
No. FieldworkABA helps organize and display fieldwork progress, but trainees and supervisors remain responsible for following BACB® requirements and confirming eligibility.
