Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork

The 1,500-hour pathway that requires more supervision — 7.5% under 2027 (it was 10% under 2022) — in exchange for fewer hours.

What it means

Concentrated Supervised Fieldwork lets you certify in 1,500 hours instead of 2,000, in exchange for a higher supervision rate: 7.5% under the 2027 standards (it was 10% under 2022). The 60/40 unrestricted rule still applies (at least 900 of 1,500 hours unrestricted). When combining types, a Concentrated hour has about 1⅓ times the temporal value of a Supervised hour.

Example

A 100-hour month on the concentrated pathway needs 7.5 supervised hours under 2027, versus 5 on the standard pathway.

Where it trips people up

Fewer total hours sounds better, but the higher supervision rate means more of your supervisor’s time — which isn’t always available. Choose based on how much supervision you can realistically get.
