Supervisory contact

A real-time meeting of at least 15 minutes. Under 2027 there is no fixed monthly count; the earlier 2022 rules required 4/month (6 for Concentrated).

What it means

A supervisory contact is a real-time interaction (individual or group) that lasts at least 15 minutes. Under the 2027 standards there is no fixed monthly contact count — the requirement is the supervision percentage plus cumulative observation minutes with a client. (Under the earlier 2022 standards you needed at least 4 contacts per month on the standard pathway and 6 on concentrated.)

Example

Under 2027, instead of counting meetings you make sure each month hits its supervision percentage and observation minutes.

Where it trips people up

A contact is not the same as an observation, and a meeting under 15 minutes doesn’t count as a contact. You need your contacts and the required observation of you working with a client.
