Supervisory period (the month)

One calendar month — the unit fieldwork is counted, supervised, and verified in.

What it means

A supervisory period is one calendar month. Each month must stand on its own: between 20 and 160 hours to count under the 2027 standards (the 2022 cap was 130), with that month’s supervision percentage and client observation met, and an MVF signed for it.

Example

Log 18 hours in a month and it does not count — you were under the 20-hour minimum for that period.

Where it trips people up

Hours don’t roll over. A month below the minimum is lost; hours above the monthly maximum are capped. If you work a partial month, some requirements (like contacts) may need to be prorated by your supervisor.
